About Dr. Friedland

Dr. Friedland has been a frequent contributor, lecturer and participant in national and international Plastic Surgery symposia and conferences, and has visited several universities as a Traveling Professor, sponsored by national plastic surgery organizations.

Dr. Friedland has written many articles which have been published in peer-reviewed journals and he has contributed to several textbooks. He is on the Editorial Board of several journals and he was the Review Editor of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery ®, which is one of the most prestigious journals of plastic surgery.  At present he is an Associate Editor as well as the Oculoplastic Section Editor of The Aesthetic Surgery Journal.

Dr. Friedland has a special love for children and an interest in correcting congenital deformities. As a result, he has traveled to third world countries, most recently to Haiti, performing correction of cleft lip and palate deformities. He is presently Chief of Plastic Surgery in the Children's Rehabilitative Services of Arizona. Through his clinics, the children from families who are financially less fortunate are able to receive the same quality care as those who seek his services on a private basis.

"Plastic surgery touches all of our lives sooner or later. In my opinion, one's self image should be the best that it can be. Expertly performed, plastic surgical procedures can significantly affect an individual's satisfaction with his or her body. It is important to feel as good as you look, and equally important to look as good as you feel. Making this possible is one of the most rewarding aspects of my profession."

"As my extensive training, experience, and my certification by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery indicate, I am dedicated to the highest standards of patient welfare and surgical excellence."
